Armenia

Armenia is a Colombian municipality, capital of the Department of Quindío and one of the main centers of the Eje Cafetero Colombian and the so-called Paisa Region. The city is located at coordinates 4,5170 ° North, 75,6830 ° West, 290 kilometers west of Bogota. It is a city in size medium located in the golden triangle. Its average temperature is between 18-28 ° C.

On the south side there is a monument to the main founder Jesus Maria Ocampo Tigrero, Bull, and his wife María Arsenia Cardona Buitrago, erected in 1998 by the sculptor Orlando Londono. It is a mound, as a large stone above which there are some heads of tiger, which reflects an ancient tomb, where are the remains of the couple.
